Lieutenant Governor Bio
Hey everyone! My name is Abby Mahanes. I am from Liberty High School in the Kansas City area. I am a senior and loving it. I am active in a number of activities at my school such as concert choir, yearbook, photojournalism, NHS, and Key Club just to name a few. I really love service which is why I am active in Key Club. After graduation in May 2011, I plan to attend William Jewell College.
This year, I personally want to increase my amount of service hours. I would like for my division to have an increase in service hours and membership. I hope that together we can strengthen the clubs and club relationships throughout Division 1. I can’t wait to start working with the Key Clubs in the Kansas City area. We can make a lasting impact on so many lives.
My favorite service project so far has been helping out with Special Olympics. The kids are just so awesome and loving. Their attitude taught me a good lesson: You win because you tried your hardest.
Have fun with service this year. Every single day is special. Don’t take anything for granted.
